Also, According to the biggest fashion bloggers in Berlin, We know everyone is obsessed with how glamorous Italian women are, or how exactly to dress like a French woman. But have you noticed how stylish German women are? Trust us, we were at Berlin Fashion Week, and there was some sterling street style going on.
So we thought we’d ask major fashion influencers Alexandra Lapp, Nina Schwichtenberg and Sofie Valkiers to share their ultimate fashion tips.
How would you define German women’s style?
Alexandra: ‘German women show a wide range of styles. We have classy and luxurious ladies or casual and sporty types. Then there are rocky or glamorous ladies. I guess it is always a matter of the occasions they are heading to or simply what they prefer to wear. All in all German women are classy and prefer a clean look.’
Sofie: ‘To me, the German woman is all about expressing herself through strong pieces that are set apart by their meticulous quality, luxury is a well-made piece rather than an expensive one – something I can totally align with!’
What are your top style rules?
Alexandra: ‘Feel good and be confident. Wear whatever you like but wear it with pride. Mix up different looks and wear luxurious pieces with casual ones. And always add some colour!’
Nina: ‘It’s all about the details! I’m addicted to eye-catching bags and shoes which are perfect to give every outfit a special twist.’
Sofie: ‘I don’t like to think about styling in terms of rules. In fact, my last book Mood of the Day is all about how to choose your outfit of the day in a way that perfectly reflects your mood. That’s one of the most powerful aspects of fashion to me, and one of the main reasons why I love it so much!
